Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine, is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant for the Oncology department. This part-time, day-shift role supports patient care under the supervision of the registered nurse.

You will assist with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care, and help maintain a safe environment. A High School diploma and CNA certification are required, with preferred phlebotomy and EKG credentials.

Title: Certified Nurse Assistant Department: Oncology

Part Time, Day Shift

Pay: $22.00 to $25.75

Location: Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine

Responsibilities

The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), state approved Certification required.
• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
