Job summary

Citizens Memorial is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join its care team at a long-term care facility.

The role includes preparing residents for meals, serving and documenting intake, and protecting personal belongings while ensuring proper storage.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma — preferred.
• Experience: One year CNA experience — preferred.
• Skills: Good Communication, Patience, Attention to detail, flexibility, Intrapersonal Skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 90% of the shift and sit for the remaining 10% of shift. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Preparing residents for meals, serving and collecting trays, and documenting nutritional intake.
• Handling and caring for resident clothing and personal belongings, protecting items from damage and ensuring proper storage.
• Making routine rounds to assigned residents and responding promptly to resident needs.
• Providing safe, appropriate nursing care and reporting concerns to the charge nurse for follow‑up.

What Your Day Looks Like

Colonial Springs Healthcare Center is a 134-bed long-term care, skilled nursing center. It includes a 34-bed memory care unit, as well as a 16-bed high-functioning memory care unit. These units meet the specific needs of individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be:

• Preparing residents for meals, serving and collecting trays, and documenting nutritional intake.
• Handling and caring for resident clothing and personal belongings, protecting items from damage and ensuring proper storage.
• Making routine rounds to assigned residents and responding promptly to resident needs.
• Providing safe, appropriate nursing care and reporting concerns to the charge nurse for follow‑up.
