Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our compassionate care team across more than 40 skilled nursing communities in Iowa.

We offer full-time and part-time schedules with a competitive hourly rate plus shift differential. You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, and collaborate with our healthcare team to support residents’ well-being.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Iowa or ability to activate certification.
• Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism and teamwork.
• Compassionate, patient and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming and eating.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Communicate with residents, families and healthcare team.
• Monitor health including routine vital signs.
• Encourage resident recreational and therapeutic activities to support health and daily routines.
• Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Deliver emotional support and provide companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.
• Provide health monitoring including conducting routine vital checks.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
• Adhere to infection control protocolsto ensure a clean and safe environment for safety.
