Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide essential patient care in a fast-paced healthcare setting. You will assist with bathing, grooming, mobility, and comfort, ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients across our facilities.

The role requires a nursing assistant training course completion, state certification, and CPR/BCLS. Prior acute or long-term care experience is preferred, with opportunities to contribute to admissions, transfers, and discharge

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of a nursing assistant training course.
• Experience: Minimum six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred.
• License: Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Certifications: CPR/BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.
• Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.
• Take and record vitals and intake/output, document promptly.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment with proper ventilation and lighting.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including belongings.
• Answer call lights, phones, and pages promptly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

• Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.
• Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling of patient belongings.
• Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, responding promptly and appropriately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
