Lifepoint Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Neurology unit. The role follows a 3 x 12 schedule, under supervision of an RN or LPN, and reports to the department director/manager.

Core duties include monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, documenting intake and output, and ensuring clean, well-stocked patient areas. Emphasis on reliability and contribution to education and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant license required in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Handle with Care preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs basic patient care activities under supervision, including vital signs and I&O recording.
• Assists patients with bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
• Reports abnormal findings to nursing staff promptly.
• Keeps patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.

Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - Neurology

Schedule: 3 x 12 (Days)

Under the supervision of an RN or LPN, performs basic patient care activities in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.

Essential Functions

• Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN or LPN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
• Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care; works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.

Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
