Job summary

Care Initiatives is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to support residents in daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. You will provide companionship and communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team in a compassionate manner.

You will monitor health through routine vital checks, encourage therapeutic activities, and adhere to infection control protocols to keep environments safe and welcoming for seniors across Iowa.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa CNA certification or ability to activate certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities: bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.

What You'll Do & Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Deliver emotional support and provide companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
• Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.
• Provide health monitoring including conducting routine vital checks.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
• Adhere to infection control protocolsto ensure a clean and safe environment for safety.

Qualifications:

• Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the state of Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
