Job summary

Buckner Retirement Services in Dallas, TX is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join a resident-focused team in an onsite capacity. As a CNA, you will monitor vital signs, support daily living activities, and help ensure residents’ well-being and comfort.

Ideal candidates have a Texas CNA license, CPR certification, and a High School diploma or GED, with preferred related experience or Buckner training. Strong communication in English is required.

Qualifications

  • Texas Nurse Aide Certification and CPR certification are required.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience or Buckner training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the care plan to ensure resident care is optimal.
  • Monitor vital signs and assist with daily living needs.
  • Provide transportation, comfort, and social support to residents.
  • Assist with hygiene tasks and bedpan usage as needed.
  • Safely lift and reposition residents as necessary.
  • Provide adjunct patient care as needed.
  • Notice changes in resident behavior and inform shift leaders.

We are seeking Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) to join our community committed to delivering outstanding care to our residents. As a CNA, you will play an important role in monitoring vital signs, fostering meaningful connections with residents, and championing their overall well-being. What you’ll do:
  • Ensure resident care is the best it can be by following the care plan.
  • Get to know our residents by sharing stories with them while providing comfort, transportation, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living needs.
  • Contribute to community harmony by providing emotional and social support to residents.
  • Help residents with personal hygiene, such as providing bedpans and helping them bathe.
  • Safely lift and reposition residents as necessary.
  • Provide adjunct patient care as needed.
  • Have an eagle eye and taking notice when resident behaviors change and letting shift leaders know.
What you’ll bring:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Current Texas Nurse Aide Certification.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Minimum one-year related experience preferred, or appropriate formal education or Buckner training.
  • Working knowledge of basic health care practices and procedures, including infection control.
  • Requires ability to read, write and understand business documents which are written in English.
  • Requires ability to communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors and co-workers. Requires ability to make self clearly understood by others.
  • Requires ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions.
  • A friendly attitude and a servant’s heart.
