Job summary

Ambercare Homecare in Silver City, NM is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to join our growing team. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, serving Silver City and surrounding areas.

You will provide hands-on personal care, monitor vital signs, assist with medications under supervision, and report changes to the nurse. We offer comprehensive benefits, tuition reimbursement, and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide.
• Meets the training requirements.
• At least 18 years old.
• CPR certification or equivalent per agency/state regulations.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care (baths, hygiene, dressing, etc.).
• Monitor temperatures, pulses, respirations, and blood pressure when ordered.
• Perform routine procedures as ordered with competency.
• Assist patients in self-administration of medications.
• Report patient condition changes to the supervising nurse.

What You'll Do

• Providing hands‑on personal care including baths, oral hygiene, shampoos, changing bed linen, assisting with dressing and undressing, skin care and prevention of skin breakdown, toileting assistance, keeping living area clean and orderly as needed and other duties within their scope of practice assigned by supervising clinician
• Taking and recording oral temporal and axillary temperatures pulse respiration pulse oximetry and blood pressure when ordered with appropriate completeddemonstrated skills competency
• Performing simple procedures as an extension of nursing services as ordered with appropriate completeddemonstrated skills competency
• Assisting patients in the self administration of medication
• Reporting on patients condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse or case manager

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide
• Meets the training requirements and successfully completes them
• At least 18 years of age
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification or another certification process as deemed appropriate by agency state and federal regulations
• Must have reliable transportation current drivers license and appropriate automobile insurance
