Job summary

Lifespace Communities is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for Querencia at Barton Creek in Austin, TX. This full-time PM position runs 2:00pm–10:00pm with a starting pay of $19.00/hr plus experience-based increases and a $2,500 sign-on bonus for full-time roles through 7/31.

Active CNA license is required, along with at least one year of geriatric care experience. Lifespace offers Daily Pay, flexible schedules, a 403(b) with match, generous PTO, tuition reimbursement, and growth

• Minimum one year working with the geriatric population.
• Certified nursing aide licensure required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plan directives and provide direct patient care, assist residents with daily living activities (feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, dining, activities).
• Observe for changes, initiate safety assessments, and communicate needs to the nurse.
• Record vital signs and ADLs accurately; maintain infection control standards.
• Respond promptly to call lights and ensure residents' needs are met.

A few details about the role:

• Follow all care plan directives, administer direct patient care and assist residents to perform daily living activities such as feed, bathe, dress, groom, transfer and move residents, and transport residents to dining rooms and various events and activities.
• Initiate resident needs, assessment, and safety by observing and reporting any changes or unusual findings to the nurse.
• Coordinate with nursing team members to record accurate vital signs as well as maintain records of ADLs.
• Administer standard precautions and infection control standards by providing a clean and safe environment.
• Promptly answer call lights and on a regular basis conduct assesses resident's needs and verify needs of the resident are met.
