Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. in Homer City, PA is seeking an onsite Welder to certify in MIG welding per ISO 9001, interpret blueprints, and operate a wide range of welding craft equipment. You will set up and weld parts, inspect work, and assist with assembly while adhering to safety practices.

Two years of fabrication welding experience and the ability to read drawings are required. Ability to work any shift and overtime is expected, with a strong commitment to quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and metric conversions.
• Ability to read weldment drawings and blueprints.
• Safety training and ISO awareness.
• Certified welder with experience in fabrication welding.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints to determine repairs and use required equipment.
• Cut material from stock and remove defective parts with torch or plasma.
• Weld parts per drawings and inspect finished work.
• Move pieces using tow motor/hoist and plan weldment layouts.
• Record labor and ensure quality with proper documents.
• Follow safety rules and maintain clean work area.
