Woodland Care and Rehab in Missouri seeks a compassionate Certified Medication Technician (CMT) to administer medications, monitor residents, and assist with daily care in a supportive, safety-focused environment.

Qualified candidates hold CMT and CNA licenses in Missouri and will join a team that values quality care, ongoing education, and a collaborative work culture with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Active CMT and CNA certifications in Missouri.
• Must have both licenses.

Responsibilities

• Performs resident care responsibilities in a manner conducive to safety and comfort.
• Administers medications as ordered by a physician under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Follows the five rights of medication administration.
• Records all medications administered to residents as per their chart.
• Notifies licensed staff if a resident reports pain.
• May take and record vital signs as required by medications.
• Records medication administration and treatments accurately.
• Responds to resident call lights and anticipates needs.
• Reports any adverse reactions to a licensed nurse.
• Performs care duties to maximize resident safety and reduce errors.
• Supports a culture of safety and quality.
• Administers PRN medications.
• Reports changes in resident condition or behavior as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

DAYS 6:30am - 7:00pm

Essential Functions ofCertified MedicationTechnician(CMT):

• Performs resident care responsibilities in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort
• Administers medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration
• Administers and records all medication given to residents based on their specific chart
• Notifies appropriate licensed staff when a resident complains of pain.
• May take and record vital signs of residents as assigned or as may be required by certain medications
• Records the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately
• Answers resident call lights, anticipates resident’s needs and makes rounds to assigned resident
• Observe for and report any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift
• Performs all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors
• Support and maintain a culture of safety and quality
• Administers PRN medications
• Reports and when appropriate, records any changes observed in condition or behavior of residents and unusual incidents
• Performs other duties as assigned
