Job summary

Doctors Community is seeking a full-time Certified Medicine Aide for the 7am-3pm shift in Lanham, MD. The role focuses on medication administration under a licensed nurse, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and patient care.

Eligible candidates must have state-approved CMA and CNA training, with at least one year of CNA experience, and clear English communication to support patient safety and care delivery.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state approved medication aide training course is required.
• Completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant training program is required.
• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant with one year of experience as a CNA.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer routine and PRN medications as prescribed by the physician and document administration per policy.
• Maintain medication supply, clean and restock medicine carts and medicine room.
• Notify pharmacy of new medication orders and refills.
• Perform accurate vital sign monitoring when indicated by drug therapy.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of a licensed nurse, the Certified Medicine Aide administers medications and medicated creams within the standards of practice as permitted by their Certification and per state regulations.

Position Highlights
