Cardinal Correctional Care is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to join our team in a correctional institution setting. You will support physicians and nurses, providing compassionate patient care and ensuring accurate medication administration.

The role emphasizes clinical skills, effective communication, and adherence to safety protocols. In-person, full-time hours Monday–Friday 9am–5pm, with benefits including 401(k) and health insurance.

Qualifications

• Must have a CMT certificate.
• Proficient in medical terminology and internal medicine practices.
• Knowledgeable in infectious disease care protocols and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Correctional healthcare experience is a PLUS but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical examinations and assess health status by taking vital signs and documenting findings.
• Administer medications and treatments ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, offering education on prevention and management.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists when necessary.
