Job summary

Scenic Wellness Nursing & Rehabilitation in Herculaneum, MO is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to join our long-term care team. Day shift 7a-3p or evenings 3p-11p, full-time, on-site, with a focus on safe medication administration and resident wellbeing.

You will verify identities, document dose and time, and observe ingestion, while adhering to state regulations. Experience in long-term care preferred; state certification required.

About the Role:

• Administering prescribed medications and treatments as defined by state regulations in accordance with approved techniques and noting time and amount on resident's chart.
• Verifying identity of resident receiving medication and recording name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms and records.
• Presenting medication to residents and observing ingestion or other application, or administering medication, using specified procedures.
• Performing any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required.

Requirements:

• Certified as required by state law.
• Previous experience in long-term care preferred.
