Qualifications

• Current certification as a Medication Technician in Maryland is required.
• Strong understanding of medication management and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is needed.
• Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to client-centered care.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to clients in accordance with established protocols.
• Assist clients with daily living activities while promoting independence (Meal preparation, light housekeeping).
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and client care.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare teams, clients, and families regarding medication needs.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding medication administration.
• Assist with safe transfers (bed to wheelchair, bedpan) as needed.
• Support a positive and caring environment for clients and their families.
• Provide full assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.

This is a permanent, long‑term position ideal for someone who is dependable, patient, and skilled in hands‑on personal care.

Note: The client is a smoker. Caregivers must be comfortable working in a smoking environment.
