Job summary

Legend Senior Living is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to support its nursing team. You will coordinate medication administration and assist residents with daily living activities, including weekends. This role requires state-certified CMA credentials and a compassionate, patient-focused approach.

The position involves administering medications, supporting daily care tasks, and documenting activities while maintaining strict safety standards. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification as required by state regulations.
• Experience with administering medications and monitoring residents' health.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications for all assigned residents.
• Assist with daily resident care including personal care, grooming, hygiene, meals.
• Monitor residents' comfort and respond to changes.
• Document shift reports and resident records.
• Communicate needs and concerns clearly to Health Care Director and team.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures and safety guidelines.

Requirements

We are looking for a committed individual with required certifications for a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities of this position would include but not be limited to:

• Administering medication for all assigned residents
• Assisting with the daily care of the residents, including: Personal care, grooming, hygiene, housekeeping, laundering, social interactions, and meals.
• Monitoring the resident’s physical and emotional comfort and responding as needed
• Documenting completed tasks such as: Daily shift report, resident records and negotiated service agreement
• Confidentially communicating clearly to other staff, such as: Urgent needs for the next shift and all concerns to the Health Care Director
• Demonstrating the ability to manage assigned tasks within the scheduled shift
• Adhering to company policies, procedures and safety guidelines
