Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Olathe, KS is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a licensed nurse. You will administer prescribed medications, document care, and monitor vital signs per plan of care.

Some travel within a 75-mile radius is required. This PRN role offers a minimum of 30 hours per month with at least one weekend shift, plus premium pay rates and a competitive hourly wage within the posted range.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Must maintain state CMA/CNA certification; registration required or obtainable within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision of a charge nurse.
• Administers prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and documents outcomes.
• Collects vital signs, maintains care records, and supports wellness activities.
• Assists with dining, personal care, transfers, and mobility as per plan of care.
