Job summary

Solterra Senior Living at Chandler seeks Certified Medication Aides to care for residents under the supervision of the Assisted Living Director. Must hold a caregiver certification through an Arizona NCIA board.

Full- and part-time shifts available, including 6:00 am–2:00 pm, 2:00 pm–10:00 pm, and 2:00 pm–10:00 pm for part-time. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, dementia care, and restorative nursing.

Qualifications

• Requires to be a Certified Medication Aide in the State of Arizona.
• Previous experience in a Senior Living Community a PLUS!!
• A High School diploma or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Takes and records vital signs.
• Measures and records height and weight and fluid intake/output.
• Recognizes abnormal changes and reports to supervisor.
• Provides assistance with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort, and daily living activities.
• Transfers, positions and turns residents.
• Provides skin care.
• Contributes to resident assessment and care plan.
• Provides nursing rehabilitation/restorative services.
• Cares for residents with dementia.
• Follows the schedule of resident needs set by supervisor.
• Provides emotional and social support to residents.
• Promotes resident rights and independence, reports abuse or neglect, and avoids restraints where possible.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
