Job summary

Avir Vista is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) to support medication administration and daily living activities for residents. You will follow care plans, document care, and work under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse in a facility setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, meals, safety, and infection control, while maintaining resident rights and professional conduct. Prior training and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, administers, and documents medications following accepted practices, and in accordance with regulations under the direction and supervision on a Licensed Nurse.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, and positioning in and out of bed, chair, etc.
• Reads and follows daily care plans; performs assigned restorative and rehabilitative procedures, reports changes in resident condition to Nurse in charge; documents care provision on resident record/flow sheets as required and reports accidents and incidents, and provides nursing functions as directed by supervisor.
• Understands and follows safety, sanitation and infection control policy and procedures, to include but not limited to proper hand washing, proper wearing of masks and gloves and promptly reports any violations to supervisor.
• Attend orientation and in-service as required by the state. Completes all required on-line education as deemed necessary by the state and the facility.
• Understands, complies with, and promotes all rules regarding residents’ rights.
• Promotes positive relationships with residents, visitors and government regulators, to include presenting a professional appearance and attitude.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge of residents.
• Attend and participate in training, educational activities and staff meetings; assist with orientation and training other staff.
• Other duties as assigned
• Walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures, ability to communicate with residents and employees, ability to understand and follow training, ability to instruct staff in service education, and the ability to remain calm under stress.
