Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications (PO, topical, rectal) per orders and policy.
• Monitor and report adverse reactions or changes in resident status.
• Document all medication administration in accordance with policies.
• Maintain control of the medication cart and ensure a safe environment.
• Safeguard resident privacy and confidentiality of information.
• Follow infection control procedures during medication administration.
• Immediately report drug errors to the Charge Nurse.
