Job summary

Autumn Lane Health & Rehab is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to administer physician-ordered medications and provide routine resident care. You will document treatments, monitor reactions, and coordinate with nursing staff to ensure safety and quality of care.

Responsibilities include insulin and B12 administration, glucose testing, and proper medication handling. Must hold GA CMA and CNA certifications; EOE/ Drug Free Workplace. On-site role with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Nursing Aide in Georgia required.
• Certified Medication Aide in Georgia required.
• EOE / M / F / D / V / Drug Free Workplace.

Responsibilities

• Administer physician-ordered medications (oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal, rectal).
• Administer insulin, epinephrine, and B12 per physician direction.
• Administer medications via metered dose inhaler.
• Perform finger-stick blood glucose testing.
• Document medication administration or declination in residents' records.
• Report unusual reactions to medication to resident, family and health care provider.
• Properly store and dispose of medications.
• Provide routine patient care (bathing, grooming, dressing) as needed.
• Complete dressing changes of skin alterations per physician orders.
• Notify licensed nurse of any changes in patient condition.
