Job summary

Victorian Estates Assisted Living in Yukon, OK is seeking a full-time Certified Medication Aide to join our compassionate care team. You will administer oral and topical medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following physician orders and all state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• State certification as Nurse Aide is required.
• Advanced Medication Aide certification is a plus.

Certified Medication Aide Key Responsibilities:

• Administers medication as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with any state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration.
• Records the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately.
• Observes for and reports any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
• Administers PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.

Certified Medication Aide Qualifications:

• State certification as a Nurse Aide is required
• State certification as an Advanced Medication Aide a plus
• State approved medication administration certification
• Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nurse aide
• Highly developed observation skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Shifts Available:

Double Weekends 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, and PRN
