Job summary

Avir at Pharr is seeking a qualified Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) to join our care team. The role involves administering medications under supervision, assisting residents with daily living activities, and helping maintain a safe, respectful environment.

You will follow care plans, document care, participate in training, support admissions and discharge, and uphold HIPAA requirements while delivering compassionate, professional care to residents.

Qualifications

• Must be a CMA and a CNA in good standing with the State.
• Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions.
• Must relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with others.
• Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with/without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, and document medications under supervision.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and meals.
• Follow safety, sanitation and infection control policies and report violations.
• Attend orientation and required in-service education.
• Promote residents' rights and maintain professional relationships.
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge of residents.
• Attend and participate in staff training and orientation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
