Heritage Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time Certified Medication Aide. The Certified Medication Aide will prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications per protocol.
Educational/Training Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Successful completion of State Approved Medication Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program. Good standing in the state registry is required.
Preferred one (1) year of previous health care experience. Must demonstrate working knowledge of Universal Precautions and the Blood Borne Pathogen rules.
Physical demands include lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, sliding/ transferring heavy loads, standing, sitting, walking, speaking, driving, balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, hearing, seeing, turning, etc. Movements may involve weights ranging from 1-25 lbs, 25-50 lbs, to over 50 lbs, occurring frequently, occasionally, or rarely as required.
