Job summary

Cypress Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Reidsville, NC is seeking a skilled Certified Medication Aide (CMA/CNA) to safely prepare, administer, and document medications for residents, verifying identities and following all policies.

The role requires NC CMA/CNA certification, CPR, strong English communication, basic computer skills, and a professional, confidential, team-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Current CMA certification or NC CNA certification is required.
• Active CPR certification.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely prepare, administer, and document oral and/or topical medications.
• Verify the identity of residents before administering medication.
• Ensure prescribed medication is not administered to the wrong resident.
• Document any instance where prescribed medication is not administered.
• Assist with medication charting as directed.
• Verify adequate supply of medications and equipment.
• Order prescribed medications and supplies as needed.
• Follow facility policies and procedures regarding medication destruction.
• Notify the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse of any drug and narcotic discrepancies.

Requirements:
