Evergreen Healthcare Group is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for Fountain Springs Healthcare Center to administer prescribed medications and keep medical records under supervision. The ideal candidate is energetic and clinically sound, with a passion for quality resident care.

The role involves verifying resident identity, presenting meds, taking vital signs, documenting refusals, handling medications, and maintaining inventories in a supportive, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Certification in the state of employment as a Certified Nursing Assistant for one year.
• Successful completion of 80 hours training approved by the State for Certified Medication Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records drug name, dosage and time.
• Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or administers medication.
• Takes vital signs.
• Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
• Receive supply of ordered medications and assemble drugs for administration.
• Record and restock medication inventories.

Job Summary

Fountain Springs Healthcare Center is looking for a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to administer prescribed medications to residents and maintains related medical records under supervision of Nurse.The ideal candidate will be an energetic, clinically sound professional, with a passion for providing quality care to the residents we are entrusted to care for.

Essential Functions

• Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.
• Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified processes.
• Takes vital signs
• Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
• Receive supply of ordered medications and apportion, mix, or assemble drugs for administration to resident.
• Record and restock medication inventories.

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements

• Certification in the state of employment as a Certified Nursing Assistant for one year.
• Successful completion of 80 hours training approved by the State for Certified Medication Assistants.
