Job summary

COX HEALTHCARE LTD in Oklahoma seeks a Certified Medication Aide to join our compassionate care team. You will administer prescribed medications, document resident responses, and monitor for adverse effects, upholding safety and dignity in every interaction.

Qualifications

  • Current state certification as a Medication Aide (CMA or equivalent).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in medication administration.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced care setting.

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and facility policies.
  • Accurately document medication administration, resident responses, and any changes in condition.
  • Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions and promptly report concerns to the nursing team.
  • Assist with daily living activities when needed, ensuring residents' comfort and dignity.
  • Maintain medication carts, storage areas, and records in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Build trusting relationships with residents, families, and colleagues to foster a positive care environment.
