Qualifications

• State Nurse Aide certification required.
• State Medication Aide certification required.
• State-approved medication administration certification.
• Familiar with duties of a certified nurse aide.
• Strong observation skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the five rights of medication administration.
• Records the administration of medications and/or treatments.
• Observes for and reports any reactions or side effects to a licensed nurse.
• Administers PRN medications per state and federal regulations and facility policy.
