Job summary

Qualifications

The CMA collaborates closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to monitor residents for medication effectiveness and potential side effects. Attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential to accurately document medication administration and report any concerns promptly. Ultimately, the CMA contributes to a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment that enhances the quality of life for residents.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Medication Aide in the state of Texas.
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program.
• Basic knowledge of medication administration principles and long-term care practices.
• Ability to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for medication documentation.
