Job summary

The Commonwealth of Kentucky's Joseph 'Eddie' Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, KY is seeking a dedicated Certified Medication Aide to provide direct resident care, administer medications, and support a teamwork-focused environment.

You will join a 156-bed facility with opportunities for overtime, flexible scheduling, and shift premiums; a current Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry registration and CMA I certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess current registration with the Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry.
• Must possess current certification as a Certified Medication Aide I.
• Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, administers and charts medications and treatments.
• Performs medical treatments under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Takes temperatures, pulses and respiration and records on patient’s chart.

Description

The Joseph \"Eddie\" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long-term care facility located inbeautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence,preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.

We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic Medication Aide, who possesses the skills and desires to carefor Kentucky’s Veterans. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment.

We offer flexible scheduling and holiday, weekend and shift premiums.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares, administers and charts medications and treatments.
• Performs medical treatments under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Takes temperatures, pulses and respiration and records on patient’s chart.
• Participates in treatment team meetings and provides first aide for minor injuries.
