Connecticut GI, a division of GI Alliance, is seeking a full-time experienced Coding Specialist to join our Billing Department. Hybrid work arrangement with on-site requirement for the first 90 days, competitive pay, and growth opportunities in a large gastroenterology practice.

The role focuses on accurate coding, denial prevention, and revenue integrity across specialties. Ideal candidates hold CPC/CCS/COC or equivalent certification, 1–2 years coding experience, and proficiency with EMR

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required, with professional coding certification.
• Active coding certification CPC/CCS/COC or equivalent.
• Experience with EMR systems and coding required or preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10, and modifiers.

Aufgaben

• Independently review clinical documentation and assign CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 codes.
• Apply modifiers per CMS, AMA, and payer guidelines.
• Resolve complex charge review edits and coding-related issues.
• Support denial prevention and revenue integrity.
• Assist with training and serve as a resource for staff.
