Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Medical Coder to join our team. In this role, you will code patient records and process claims for reimbursements. You will be responsible for selecting the correct codes and sequencing them for each case.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with strong people skills and solid computer abilities. Locations include Las Vegas, NV as well as San Francisco, Palo Alto, Northern California, and other West Coast sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous medical coder experience.
• Familiar with coding software and computer programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to problem-solve.
• Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Account for coding and abstracting of patient medical appointments
• Research and analyze data needs for reimbursement
• Ensure codes are properly sequenced
• Analyze, file, and process medical records
• Keep detailed documentation of any deficiencies or issues with medical records
• Provide education and training to other coding staff
• Review and verify documentation
