Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree plus Medical Billing & Coding program (1+ year).
• Two years medical billing experience with Medicare/Medicaid for FQHC/IHS/Tribal health programs.
• Certification from HFMA/AAHAM/AAPC, maintained during employment.
• HIPAA certification within 90 days of employment.
• Proficiency in English, and knowledge of billing practices and AR processes.
• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS; Medicare/Medicaid rules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit medical claims to third-party payers accurately and timely.
• Perform advanced medical billing and accounts receivable tasks; resolve claim denials.
• Verify insurance information and ensure proper reimbursement.
• Communicate with providers, payers, and team while maintaining confidentiality.
