Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Medical Biller/Certified Coder for Kent Campus Hospital. This full-time, day-shift role handles all aspects of medical billing from claims submission to A/R management, utilizing EMR and PM systems.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, CPC/CCS/RHIT/RHIA certification, and at least 2 years of medical billing experience in EMR/PM environments. Compensation is hourly with a supportive team and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or CCS/RHIT/RHIA certification.
• 2 years’ experience in medical billing in EMR/PM environments from billing to A/R.

Responsibilities

• Review records to identify and correct errors.
• Prepare encounters and code medical billing claims from EMR for insurance submission.
• Submit claims correctly on first submission.
• Determine correct encounters codes from patient records and document charges.
• Communicate with physicians to ensure accurate documentation and coding.
• Track patient data over multiple visits.
• Maintain communication with providers and training as needed.
• Identify documentation/coding issues impacting reimbursement.
• Maintain A/R goals and daily A/R functions.
• Correct errors and denials from designated systems.
• Participate in department meetings and training sessions.
• Perform other duties within scope of responsibilities.
