AdventHealth is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinic operations in Palm Harbor, FL. You will handle intake, testing, documentation, and patient care during visits, while maintaining compliance and confidentiality.

Role requires CMA certification, BLS, and strong communication in English. The position emphasizes teamwork, clinical competency, and ongoing education within a faith-based health system.

Responsabilités

• Mondays–Fridays 8am–5pm; other duties as assigned.
• Travel to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Maintain education requirements and demonstrate competency annually.
• Prepare patients and equipment for treatment; document results.
• Ensure OSHA and office compliance; follow safety procedures.
• Provide comprehensive patient care during visits, including intake and medication reconciliation.
• Educate patients about tests, medications, and diet; give clear instructions.
• Monitor inventory and ensure supplies and equipment are functioning.

Job Description

• Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
• Other duties as assigned.
• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Stays up to date and familiar with all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Maintains education requirements for the position and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests.
• Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practices's designated system.
• Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies.
• Provides whole care to patients during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, and closure of care gaps.
• Maintains confidentiality of employees' and patients' administrative and medical information.
• Supports staff teamwork by assisting patients, visitors, and co-workers when necessary.
• Performs clinical intake according to policy and procedures, including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation.
• Assists with minor procedures associated with specialty and ensures accurate documentation at the time of service or results.
• Educates patients regarding tests, medications, and diet, providing clear and accurate instructions.
• Monitors and manages inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and functioning medical equipment.

Education

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience

• 1+ year of related work experience [Preferred]
