Job summary

Urology Clinics Of North Texas is seeking a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant to provide clinical support to physicians and APPs in the Dallas area. You will assist with exams, injections, specimen handling, and daily clinic operations at Medical City Dallas and Baylor/Plano locations.

The role requires a CMA certification, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining patient flow and accurate EHR documentation.

Qualifications

• Understand basic urology terminology, medications, procedures, and instruments.
• Analyze and prioritize information to maintain an efficient clinical structure.
• Communicate effectively with parents, patients, coworkers and providers.
• Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, physicians and other health care providers.
• Perform tasks with independent judgment and discretion.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor in scrubs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare workstation and be ready during assigned hours.
• Open clinic: unlock doors, power up computer, prep charts and rooms.
• Schedule surgeries and maintain patient flow for the provider.
• Answer calls, discuss acute symptoms when needed, process prescriptions in the EHR.
• Document prescriptions and communications in the patient EHR.
• Assist Provider with exams, procedures, and lab specimen handling.
• Stock exam rooms, lab area, and restrooms; maintain supplies.
• Follow OSHA logs and CLIA requirements; manage charting in EHR templates.
