Job summary

Temple Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for PreAdmission Testing on a 40-hour day shift (7:30am-4pm) at FCCC. The role involves greeting patients, completing forms, and updating electronic medical records, with duties spanning administrative tasks and direct patient care.

Required are a high school diploma and certification/registration as a Medical Assistant, with 2 years of clinical experience preferred. BLS and phlebotomy certification are advantages.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Non-degree program graduate from a medical assistant program preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience providing medical assistance in a physician office, nursing facility or hospital.

Responsibilities

• The Medical Assistant greets and identifies patients, completes forms, prepares charts, and updates electronic medical records as appropriate.
• Performs administrative duties and assists with patient procedures to support nursing, physicians, advanced practice clinicians, and other clinical staff.
• Receives patients at the time of visit and supports the delivery of health care by performing medically-related tasks to ensure smooth patient flow.
