Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a dedicated clinical assistant to provide comprehensive patient care during visits, including intake, testing, and medication administration. The role supports clinic operations, maintains documentation in the designated system, and ensures safety and confidentiality in all activities.

Required are a High School diploma and BLS CPR certification, with CMA/CMAC/RMA/NCAA/CCMA/NRCMA equivalents accepted. One year of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides whole care to patients during office visits, including intake, tests, labs, medications, and closure of care gaps.
• Maintains and documents results in the practice’s system.
• Ensures office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment.
• Conducts screenings, vital signs, and medication reconciliation as per policy.
• Assists with minor procedures and ensures accurate documentation at time of service.
• Educates patients regarding tests, medications, and diet with clear instructions.
• Monitors inventory and ensures supplies and equipment are functional.
• Supports staff teamwork and assists patients, visitors, and co-workers as needed.

Job Description:

Up to $2,500 Sign-On Bonus for eligible applicants. Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations. Stays up to date and familiar with all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards. Maintains education requirements for the position and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests. Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practice’s designated system. Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies. Provides whole care to patients during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, and closure of care gaps. Maintains confidentiality of employees' and patients' administrative and medical information. Supports staff teamwork by assisting patients, visitors, and co-workers when necessary. Performs clinical intake according to policy and procedures, including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation. Assists with minor procedures associated with specialty and ensures accurate documentation at the time of service or results. Educates patients regarding tests, medications, and diet, providing clear and accurate instructions. Monitors and manages inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and functioning medical equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
