Job summary

Jackson Purchase Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for podiatry. The CMA will handle routine clinical and administrative tasks, take vitals, assist with exams and procedures, and support EHR updates in a busy outpatient podiatry practice.

Minimum requirements include a CMA/CCMA/RMA certification and current BLS within 30 days of hire. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program

Qualifications

• CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification required
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• High School Diploma or equivalent; accredited Medical Assisting program preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office
• Take vital signs, document patient history, and update electronic health records (EHR)
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and administering medications or injections
• Perform basic lab tasks, prepare specimens, and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms
• Support front office and patient care coordination, including scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education
