Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year Medical Assistant experience required.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant within 60 days of hire (except for those hired before 12/31/19).
• BLS Certification required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and infection control.
• Demonstrated professional courtesy and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in urgent and emergent medical situations and operate emergency equipment.
• Assist with patient follow-up processes (referrals, labs, education materials).
• Manage patient flow to minimize wait times and maximize room utilization.
• Clean, prepare, and stock exam areas and workstations.
• Maintain ambulatory equipment and supplies; sterilize instruments and manage inventory.
• Document patient care information in the medical record.
• Obtain vital signs and prepare patients for visits.
• Perform basic tests (EKG, urine dipstick, pregnancy tests) and administer injections per physician orders.
• Prepare patients and assist providers with procedures.
• Perform other duties as needed.
