Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to assist in providing clinical care to select patients under supervision of a nurse or licensed practitioner. The role includes room setup, patient prep, vital signs, and support with lab testing, billing, and records management.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and graduation from an accredited medical assistant program. Certification requirements and AHA BLS are expected. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or GED equivalent programs.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam room, treatment room, supplies and instruments.
• Prepares patients for physician visit and examination assisting as directed.
• Takes patient’s vital signs and records in medical chart.
• Performs EKG, PFT, Audiometry, Titmus Test as indicated after evaluation checklist completion.
• Maintains records by completing patient records as directed; file records and reports.
• Assists with collections/billing procedures as needed.
• Uses computer software to maintain office systems.
• Identifies and responds to confidentiality issues.
• Delivers age-appropriate care considering patient development, culture, language, and needs.
