Job summary

Novant Health Oceanside Family Medicine is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. In this role, you will provide clinical and administrative support, welcome patients, obtain vital signs, assist with procedures, vaccines, and labs, and help ensure outstanding care.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, CMA/CCMA/RMA certification or be able to obtain within six months; prior medical office experience is preferred; a state driver’s license may be

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current CMA/CCMA/RMA certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only) required.
• Previous work in a medical office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with examinations, procedures and patient care activities.
• Obtain vital signs and welcome patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records, referrals and EMR documentation.
• Support front-office operations including scheduling, registration and insurance verification.
• Reinforce patient education and care plans to promote positive health outcomes.
• Collaborate with a supportive, team-oriented healthcare environment.
