Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant certification/registration as CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA (AMT) or KHMG MA training with certification within 15 months of hire.
• Ohio LPN license required.
• Non-certified medical assistants will be restricted from administering medication and Epic orders until credentials are obtained.
• Examples: MA with on-the-job training only; exam not passed; lapsed certification; STNA/CNA with direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with examination and treatment and deliver patient care duties.
• Provide administrative support throughout the practice.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information in charts.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Cross-train to perform duties to enhance efficiency and continuity of care.
