Christus Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care with accurate data entry, insurance verification, and professional communication with patients, families, and healthcare staff. The role requires good judgment and a caring demeanor.

You will assist physicians, nurses, and physician assistants, handle scheduling, answer phones, verify benefits, and maintain up‑to‑date patient accounts.

Qualifications

• CMA certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• 1 year of medical office experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assisting the physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in giving superior medical care.
• Accurate Data Entry of charges on patient accounts, registering patients, and updating patient accounts.
• Insurance Verification and recording of Statistics.
• Assist with scheduling patient appointments, answering phones, keeping providers informed of changes, and informing patients of their benefits.
• Other duties as assigned.
