Job summary

Southeast Georgia Health System Inc / SGHS is seeking a Medical Support Assistant for the Camden Primary Care location. The role supports patient flow, registers patients, and assists clinicians with exams and procedures in a fast-paced, on-site setting.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, healthcare experience preferred, and Medical Assistant certification or EMT equivalent. American Heart Association BLS is required within the first week of orientation and maintained throughout

Responsibilities

Effectively manages care of assigned patients using clinical knowledge and judgment.

Assists with exams, diagnostic procedures and minor procedures; communicates provider instructions.
Participates in nursing assessment and develops a plan of care; reassesses interventions.
