Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; graduate of a medical assistant program.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with AAMA, NHA, NCCT, NAHP, ARMA or AMT certification.
• 7–11 months of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative and clinical duties as part of the office staff.
• Obtain intake information and schedule tests/procedures ordered by the physician.
• Provide patient education related to tests and procedures as needed.
• Obtain vital signs, inputs for EHR, and assist with direct patient care.
• Maintain clinic areas, handle telephone communications, and assist with paperwork and insurance forms.
