Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work with primary care physicians, ensuring care is provided within Medical Assisting scope and state guidelines. You will review health records, measure vital signs, and prepare rooms for examinations.

Essential duties include greeting patients, updating charts, verifying results, and performing clerical tasks. A high school diploma is required; MA certification and experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Active Medical Assisting certification from CMA/RMA/CCMA/NHA or NRCMA is preferred; ABR-OE acceptable (not accepted in SC).
• One year of medical assistant experience is preferred; two years of clerical in a physician’s office is also preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community in a respectful manner to provide excellent customer service.
• Prepare and review patient charts, verify test results, and up-to-date health records.
• Measure vital signs including pulse, respiration, BP, weight, and height.
• Perform clerical duties such as inventory checks, stock supplies, referrals tracking, and answering phones.
