Job summary

The CMA will work under physicians, ensure accurate records in EHRs, and help coordinate referrals while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

• Active Registry or Certification as a Medical Assistant
• Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
• Educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum experience: Other

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examination.
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures.
• Collect and process laboratory specimens.
• Administer medications as directed by the physician.
• Perform basic laboratory tests.
• Instruct patients about medications and special diets.
• Remove sutures and change dressings.
