ECU Health Physicians is a multi-specialty group with over 600 providers in more than 140 primary and specialty clinics across more than 110 locations in eastern North Carolina. ECU Health seeks a PRN Medical Assistant to coordinate clinic operations, perform vital signs, patient intake, and documentation, while supporting clinicians and front desk staff.
The role is a day shift, typically Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with no benefits for PRN status.
Coordinates clinic operations and assist providers by performing vital signs, patient questionnaire intake, data entry and medical records management. Assists with and provides patient care services and customer services as necessary. Maintains all patient care related documentation in hard copy and/or electronic medical records. Must demonstrate skill in clinical duties such as vitals, health history and other clinical duties as directed by clinicians. Possesses time management skills and the ability to manage and perform multiple tasks and assist patients and providers as necessary.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
High School, equivalent or higher is required
Preferred one or more years experience in a clinical or medical office setting.
$18.00 - $24.74
This is a PRN / As needed position with no benefits
Day shift: Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8am-5pm
Must be board certified through AAMA, AMT, or NHA
