Job summary

Parkview Occupational Health Clinics (POHC) in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Credentialed Medical Assistant to perform clerical and clinical functions. The role greets patients, schedules visits, triages, and assists with sample collection and patient education.

The ideal candidate has CPR, DOT/ hair drug screen certifications, and CMA/RMA credentialing with externship or relevant experience. On-site work with a focus on service excellence and clinical quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completed at least one year of education as a medical assistant, phlebotomist, EMT, pharmacy technician or equivalent.
• AT least one year of related medical office experience preferred; associate degree desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in person and by phone with care and respect.
• Schedule and register patients in POHC electronic records.
• Triages patients and reports medical problems to provider.
• Collect specimens (blood, hair, urine) for testing and evidence collection.
• Discharge patients with complete physician orders and education.
• Assist with immunizations, splints, casts, and related procedures.
